I offer supportive clinical supervision to counsellors and those who work in helping professions such as carers, Mental Health Support workers, teachers, and all those who have supporting roles for adults.
What is supervision?
Supervision is a key component that supports safe, ethical and competent practice. It helps us all as practitioners stay grounded, boundaried, and mindful of self-care. Client work, outcome, and well-being is always at the heart of supervision.
Supervision is a place where you can explore opportunities for professional development. As a Psychotherapist in my own private practice, I truly value my own supervision.
You will find I work compassionately, ethically, with enquiry and challenge. The model of supervision I work with is Hawkins and Shohet 7 Eyed model. My core modality of counselling is Person-Centred, and it will be from this orientation I predominantly work; however, I also have experience of Solution Focused Therapy gained from counselling clients via an EAP service.
I offer all enquiries an introductory call before a commitment is made to working together.
You may be searching for a new supervisor or you may wish to top up your supervision.
Generally, I offer qualified counsellors 90-minute appointments each calendar month. I am available in-between appointments and will make time for supervisee’s if needed in-between sessions.
Alternative session durations can be arranged to suit your needs.
A four-way contract needs to be in place for student counsellors between your training organisation, your placement, yourself, and your supervisor.
Some training organisations have specific requirements for Supervisors of their students. I am happy to advise on any information needed.
The BACP requirements for supervision for students is: 2 x 1-hour sessions every calendar month.
I hold a 1st Class BSC (Hons) from The University of Salford, qualifying as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist in 2019 when I began working in my own Private Practice. Examples of courses attended since qualifying as a counsellor include:
By November 2025 my counselling and supervisory experience includes:
I engage in regular supervision myself with a minimum of 1 ½ hours per calendar month 1:1 supervision, as well as attending a Peer Support Group – this is not supervision but is a helpful forum to explore client work.
In addition to longer courses, I engage in regular CPD in line with the BACP requirements.
Currently I am a Registered Member of the BACP and am in the process of completing my application for Accreditation.
